About The Event

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL SAT 10th SEPTEMBER. 

Join Ange in our outdoors soca aerobic workout with strength training at a unique beach venue along the Embankment.

We provide the music, weights and motivation creating the best fitness vibe you have experienced.  Our aim is to help you burn calories and define your body at the same time.   We finish off with a healthy brunch while we network and talk everything health and fitness with the sounds of our dj playing in the background.  Gain some health and fitness tips from our Pro-Fitness instructor,  Andrea Wallace to help you reach your goals.

Please note you will be working out on sand where you have the option to be barefoot or in your trainers.

THIS EVENT IS SPONSORED BY CANOWATER and PURITION protein powder.

Brunch consists of:

Starter - Flatbread and dips

Mains - A choice of jerk chicken, stewed fish or portobello mushroom bowl with fragrant coconut rice with fruit and veg smoothies (please inform us of any allergies by email at info@sweatinthecity.co.uk).

The bar will be open from midday.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANY EQUIPMENT?

No,  we will provide all the all the equipment needed on the day.  All we ask for is for you to wear the appropriate sports wear, including a well fitted sports bra and trainers.

CAN I CHANGE AFTER THE WORKOUT?

Yes you can.   There are small toilets where you can change but there are no showers.  We advise you to bring a tracksuit to wear after the workout.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE BRUNCH?

We will head to the private room at Limin and network with others who are on their health and fitness journeys, gaining fitness and nutrition tips from Fitnes Pro, Andrea and inspire everyone to make changes.

THE BAR IS OPEN FROM MIDDAY, CAN I DRINK ALCOHOL AFTER THE WORKOUT?

We advise you do not drink alcohol after the workout as it slows down the repair process of the muscles and causes dehydration.    The most critical period of recovery is within the 1 hour period after a workout.  There is no better feeling than walking away from a brunch on a natural endorphin filled high.

WHAT TIME DOES THE EVENT FINISH?

By the time we have eaten brunch and had our discussions the event will finish at 3pm.

I WILL BE COMING ON MY OWN, WILL I FEEL OUT OF PLACE?

Absolutly NOT! Our aim is to create a community of people that are on the same journey together.   We are known for being friendly and welcoming.  You might walk in on your own but you will walk out knowing everyone at the event!
